Signing the 'Pilot Project for the Proper Use of

Drugs & Medicines and the Collection/Treatment of Waste Drugs and Medicines in the Home' Convention 

The Korea Pharmaceutical Association jointly signed the ¡¸Pilot Project for the Proper Use of Drugs & Medicines and the Collection/Treatment of Waste Drugs and Medicines in the Home¡¹ Convention with the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Family Affairs (MIHWAF), and other related organizations on March 11.

This project is intended to promote the appropriate use of medicines and drugs through determining drug status when community residents bring disused medicines home, and to collect disused drugs and medicines through having bins placed in pharmacies. This project will hope to reduce environmental pollution arising from disused medicines and drugs being dumped into sinks, toilets, and garbage bags.
