Quality Analysis on Antibiotic Dry Syrups

In mid-October, the Normalization T/F for Medical Products Distribution by the Korean Pharmaceutical Association (KPA) is scheduled to execute Quality Analysis tests on the final 29 items with 3 ingredients selected, after confirming test plans for quality analysis to induce the market liquidation of low-quality medical products for the safety of medical products through a quality analysis of antibiotic dry syrups.

For the inclusion criteria of test items, the quantity for quality analysis is selected by considering collected items from pharmacies by ingredient within a 30% range among 93 products in total, and all reported items at the Report/Handling Center of Impure (Adulterated) and Inferior Medical Products of KPA were included.

When this Quality Analysis of antibiotic dry syrups is completed, it is expected that citizens will be able to use dry syrups with confidence.
